To the parents of our Rookie, Single A and Double A divisions,
Holland Baseball will once again be sponsoring tournament teams for these age groups for the summer. These teams will be made up of players based on the age they played under for their regular in-house Little League season. For example, if you played your in-house baseball at league age 8 (Single A), then you would be trying out for the 8 year old summer team.
Each age group will have at least two tournaments that the league sponsors by paying the registration fees. Any additional tournaments will be covered by the families. In addition, special summer jerseys will be provided and will have a small fee to cover the league’s cost.
If you do wish to play, it is important to note that you are not required to attend all of the tournaments. The league and the coaches understand that it is the summer and that many families will have vacations planned. You will learn at the evaluations which tournaments the coaches have signed the ages up for as it varies by age group.
In order to be considered for a team, you will need to attend the evaluation sessions.
Evaluations for the teams will be held this coming weekend at the following times and all will be on the T-Ball fields at the St Leonard’s road complex.
7 year olds – Sunday, June 5, 2016 from 12pm to 2pm
8 year olds – Sunday, June 5, 2016 from 2-4PM
9 years olds (two times): Saturday, June 4, 2016 from 4-6PM OR Sunday, June 5, 2016 from 3:30-5:30
Please note that the 9 year olds do not need to attend both sessions but due to the expected high number of players interested already, we are offering two time slots and hope to field two teams this summer.
